A forest retreat featuring 20 bungalows each with private garden and secluded outside shower and 24 Duplex suites with covered verandahs for relaxation or private dining.

Asian influence is apparent throughout the resort, from the artwork in the Shiva Lounge to the rice terraces around the pool. The resort's innovative Pura restaurant will feature pan-Asian, Western as well as local cuisine.

The main lodge, which acts as the lobby, includes a terrace lounge, a library room, conference facilities as well as our Mandara Bar, where you can enjoy after dinner drinks overlooking the double cascade pool.

The Carmelo Resort & Spa lobby has an outdoor terrace overlooking the double cascade pool.   The Library floor is equipped with Internet access, open fireplace and international literature.

There is an outdoor swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym.  The 800 square meter full service Spa and Health Club has a fully equipped weight room, beauty and herbal treatments, private massage rooms, sauna and rest areas.

	PURA Pura, our resort's main Carmelo restaurant, offers the very best of the country's local flavor for lunch and dinner. It is here that you will find a variety international and Mediterranean dishes, as well as our traditional Uruguayan barbeque. Pura's menu features local market ingredients prepared in a traditional South American way. Each day, our specials are cooked with use of the clay oven and the indoor barbeque pit, where we prepare traditional Uruguayan asado.
