FISHING - the black river and baygorria lake ​

La Bendición Lodge offers the possibility of capturing the largest Tornasol Tarariras in Uruguay. The Negro river basin is known by fishermen as an outstanding destination where they can catch tarariras of excellent sizes.

Blue tararira (Hoplias lacerdae) is a mysterious and enigmatic bug with capricious behavior, which makes it exciting. She is suspicious of a very subtle pique. It is characterized by its aggressive behavior, it is a natural predator and an ambush hunter. It is always a challenge for the sport fisherman since it is a fish at times difficult to seduce. Once hooked up, it is characterized by its short starts with incredible speed and power . She has a unique beauty with a slim body, a small head and has beautiful iridescent metallic green reflections on the sides of her body and head.

36 Kilometers  of coastline that surround  the Lodge to enjoy many nautical activities  surrounded by stunning nature, enjoy days on the white sand beach on the  Negro River , reading and relaxing, naps and breaks in Paraguayan hammocks, kayak rides, boat and / or motorboat, and the possibility of practicing skiing , gomon, active tourism. At sunset, a large fireplace is lit in which a delicious barbecue can be organized  while wonderful sunsets are appreciated over the Río Negro.

The Poet Juan Zorrilla de San Martin interpreted the Guaraní Uruguaí word to mean “river of painted birds”.

The Lodge offers the possibility of seeing more than 80 of the 480 species that exist in the country. Our passionate guides help you find and recognize them
