With an amazing view, located at the rooftop of the Fera Palace Hotel, where you can also find our incomparable infinite edge swimming pool. Where people get together for a drink and good talk, during a sunbath or evening meetings. Integrated into the bar is a pergola with impressive architecture design in fan shape. The space was planned to receive DJ’s and it is ideal for different kind of events like a New Year’s Eve toast, a birthday party or other celebrations.

HISTORY & LOCATION

Rua Chile  With only 400 meters long, Chile Street is the gateway to Salvador’s Historic District and is surrounded by some of the most famous venues of the city: Castro Alves Square, Lacerda Lift, Ajuda Church, Municipal Chamber and Misericordia Church and Museum. Built in 1549 by Tome de Souza, Brazil’s first General Governor, firstly named as Merchants Street, Chile Street was the main street of Salvador. The city had two entrances: Saint Luzia’s Gate and Saint Catherine’s Gate. From the 30’s to the 60’s, Chile Street became an upscale commercial and leisure centre in Salvador, with clients from all over Bahia State coming to shop and have fun at its famous and refined establishments. On those days, some of the attractions included stores such as Sloper, Casa Duas Américas, London Taylors and Adamastor men shop.

The Fera Palace Hotel  Fera Investimentos brings back the iconic Palace Hotel, celebrated as the first luxury hotel in Bahia. This stately and monumental art deco building was the epítome of Chile Street for decades since its opening in 1934. At that period, it became a reference point to Bahia’s night life, having merited quotes in several literary works such as Jorge Amado and received eminent guests like Orson Welles, Pablo Neruda, Carmen Miranda, Grande Otelo and Presidents of several countries. Fera Palace Hotel has inherited its triangular structure from the famous Flatiron Building in New York. Located at the highest spot os the street, wich links Castro Alves Square to Chile Street, the Palace is always a prominent view. In this revitalization process, the historical façade will be entirely restored, and its most emblematic interior feature will be highlighted. Our work will reconcile the essence of the hotel and the most modern aspects of sophistication, design and facilities of modern days, restoring the Palace to its rightful place.
