Recently opened in January 2013, the Contemporary Art Museum - Lima appears to be the one of the most important museums in Peru. It is located in Avenida Miguel Grau 1511, in a big green public park, just between the districts of Barranco and Miraflores.

The museum is divided in three big spaces with three different exhibitions. It holds a collection which includes more than 200 art pieces (Modern and Contemporary Art), with artists such as Szyszlo, Picasso, Botero, Soto, Yunkers, Cruz-Diez, Bravo, Viola and Lam. The artists are mainly American, but there are also European ones.

The museum also holds temporary exhibitions with top American contemporary artists. These exhibitions are constantly changing (every three months). It also has a library, a shop and a restaurant. During the whole year the museum hosts cultural and educative events and a wide range of activities related to contemporary art (in all its expressions and techniques).
