learn about the origin of such a special variety and show you
how farming was done during pre-columbian and colonial times
from cultivation to trade in the international markets.
Giant White Cusco corn has transformed the local
economy within the last 70 years and each year is a new
challenge for farmers who are dedicated to its production. Some
of the challenges include climate change, intensive farming and
finding communion between old agricultural traditions and new
technologies.
The Giant White Corn is a legacy that is ours by
right. We feel a deep responsibility to preserve and seek its
continuous improvement for future generations of farmers.
