Vina Montgras was founded in 1992 when Herman Gras, winemaker of international experience, his brother Eduardo and Cristian Hartwig decided to continue a family tradition and joined efforts to produce excellent export quality wines. The vineyard has 1,100 acres of which 200 acres are planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. THey are developing Semillon, Carmenere, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. MontGras shows its viticultural technology by using a dual canopy management system that maximizes sun exposure and controls yields. Annual production is 3,500,000 liters; capacity is 5,000,000 liters. They export within South America and to North America, Europe and Asia.
