LOCATION:
Surrounded by mountains, 45 minutes from the town of Santa Cruz in the Valley
of Colchagua, lays the Residencia Histórica de Marchigüe. A fabulous country house that
dates back to the beginning of the 18th century, which has been restored and transformed
into a wonderful country hotel, defined by its quality and service.
Situated in an oasis of old eucaliptus trees, amongst a diverse
fruit orchard and beautiful rose gardens, Residencia Histórica de Marchigüe is the ideal
place to enjoy peace and serenity. Given to its location, one may also enjoy some of the
infinite activities offered in the area such as guided wine tours, trips to the coast,
cultural experiences and local gastronomy.
HISTORY:
Residencia Histórica de Marchigüe dates back to the 18th century where
it was originally a Jesuit monastery. At the time, the property was known as
“Encomienda de San Jose de Marchigüe”, but after the Chilean expulsion of
Jesuit Monks, it came into the hands of a private family who named it “Fundo Los
Maitenses”.
Years later, charmed by its beauty and serenity, an Italian family
bought the land, creating a single and unique space where European charm is combined with
Chilean hospitality, resulting in a marvelous experience.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Residencia Histórica offers 22 spacious and elegant rooms with luxurious
bathrooms. Matrimonial Rooms offer king size beds and Twin rooms offer queen size
beds.

Residencia Histórica offers a charming establishment of exceptional food
and service. Our chefs combine the flavors of traditional Chilean cuisine with
international dishes, achieving impeccable results. Our spacious meeting rooms, that range
from 65 to 180 mt2, and our outside patios, make our property the perfect place for
events, intimate or corporate, that meet the needs of our guests; including executive
retreats, weddings, cocktails, wine tastings in our own cellar and of course, the
traditional Chilean barbeque.
