This beautiful hill offers a quiet respite in the middle of the bustling city, and is home to a sprawling, leafy park spend the day wandering and catch a glimpse of Castle Hildalgo (as well as superb views of the city) at the hill’s summit

Plaza de Armas - 10 minute walk

Palacio de la Moneda - 15 minute walk
This Neoclassical building was the original location of the county’s coin production (moneda means “coin” in Spanish), until it became the government seat and residence of the president in the mid-19th century. In 2010, an adjacent plaza, the Plaza de la Ciudadanía, was built to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Chile’s independence; it offers a passageway to the Palacio de La Moneda Cultural Center, home to a range of cultural and historical exhibitions.

Costanera Center Shopping - 25 minute walk
The Costanera Center complex features a six-floor shopping mall – the largest in South America – with everything from premium shopping to restaurants, a fitness center, and even a movie theater. It’s also the site of the Gran Torre Santiago – the largest skyscraper in all of Latin America.
