ABOUT HOTEL NUSS - in their own words:
Nuss Buenos Aires SOHO is located at one of the most emblematic corners of Palermo SOHO, El Salvador & Borges, close to the traditional Plaza Serrano. In the most bohemian and avant-garde neighborhood of the city, Nuss is surrounded by trendy design and clothing stores, handcrafts, art galleries, and multifaceted bars and restaurants.
Once a classic Spanish-style convent, it has been fully refurbished to become the most innovative premium hospitality option in Buenos Aires. Considered a historical patrimony, the original facade has been preserved.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
A blend of traditional and modern creates in Nuss an eclectic style, reflected in each of its 22 rooms. All of the rooms have a view and double pane windows with air in-between to minimize outdoor sounds. There are four types of rooms, located on three floors around a central patio (the old convent clusters). The ambience is completed with a water mirror and views to the old trees that shelter the hotel, unveiling details of this unique city corner.

From www.cntraveler.com:
The first guests to stay at Nuss, which opened in a prime site in Palermo Soho in February, were from a UK reality-TV production company - which says as much about the media-friendly neighbourhood as it does about this new, chic-but-funky hotel. Carved out of the carcass of a 1930s convent on a leafy street, it is surrounded by some of the finest bars, restaurants, shops and art galleries in Buenos Aires. The 22 rooms, around a central courtyard, are decorated in a pleasingly understated way by local interior designer Sofía Camps, all with plasma-screen TVs, 'feature' wallpaper, leather-bound desks and amusing contemporary lamps. The ground floor is given over to shops (as yet unoccupied on our visit), the hotel reception and the deli, where pastry chef Inès Maciel works her magic at breakfast, and where tea, coffee, wine and snacks are served all day. Palermo Soho is a lively quarter, particularly at weekends, but all the windows are double-glazed; and there is much to be said for feeling part of the action, best viewed from the roof terrace, where there are loungers, a plunge pool and plans for a guests-only bar. General Manager Gonzalo del Campo was at the Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires for many years, and this is his first project in charge: charming service and value for money are delivered by the managing company, NA Town & Country Hotels, along with the great location. It's a very agreeable combination. |
