TARQUINO RESTAURANT -
Modern Argentine cuisine in the Recoleta restaurant district. Run by
renowned chef Dante Liporace, it was born as a new stage within national
cuisine.
"Tarquino Restaurante" proposes a great contribution to the
modernization of traditional Argentine dishes. Its name reflects this
concept, as Tarquino had an interesting role in domestic history.
Tarquino’s menú offers, among other options, entries such as
potato pie, provolone pizza and offal. Main dishes mostly include
Argentine beef such as vac-packed rib eye steak with vegetables, or fish
with quinoa stew and blood sausage, risotto with marrow and chicken
stock, and vac-packed sweetbread that can be compared, due to their
texture and taste, to the French foie gras. Desserts include chocolate
and Cordobes mint pudding, mate ice-cream with fried flatbread, and tray
of national fruit cooked with different methods and natural juices,
among others.
The wine list offers a wide selection of the best Argentine wineries,
created by sommelier Roberto Romano. Drinks have been also developed by
specialists.
Renowned architect Iván Robredo, together with Valeria Bonanno, were
in charge of the construction of this stunning and warm place. They
chose traditional Argentine noble materials for the interior design:
sheep and llama wool, fabric, cow and pig leather, and wood, as well as
marble and craft ironwork.
